The Name Train by Maple Landmark

Maple Landmark was started by Michael Raineville in the 1970's in Lincoln, Vermont. What began as an after-school and summertime hobby soon turned into a business making spool holders, cribbage boards, and wooden vehicle kids toys. The most famous of the toys they produce is the "Name Train". The company also sells tracks and other accessories for a proper train set. These toys are not for children under three but I think they make a great nursey decoration before that. This would be a cute baby shower gift if the family knew what they were naming their baby.

Popsicle Molds and Ice Cream Sandwich Mold

It's always nice when you can make your own popsicles for a hot day. It has been hotter than ever lately. I think last week it was about 104 here. When I make ice pops I usually just mix juice (apple is a favorite) and water or a few different juices.

The Wean Machine

I thought we were ahead of the game with the Beaba BabyCook. Seems like a great little device but we've recently heard about "The Wean Machine". The Wean Machine is a portable baby food maker. It includes a spoon and aims to help save time and money. It's easily sterilized and top shelf dishwasher safe. For best results, the makers of wean machine suggest using soft ripe fruits and well cooked vegetables. The Wean Machine is made in the UK but is available for purchase in the US. Created by a busy mom, Tilly Beazeley. I love her web site because she also lists a bunch of recipes.

Sun Jar by Suck UK

I absolutely love this sun jar! Just looking at it makes me happy. These Sun Jar's are made in the UK by Suck Uk and were designed by Tobias Wong. They charge during the day and light up at night. The jar is made out of a traditional mason jar and high tech energy efficient lighting. When the jar is placed in sunlight the solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. This energy is then used at night to power the three LED lamps inside the jar.
You can turn the sun jar off (so that it doesn't automatically light up) to conserve the power so that you can use it at night. The Sun Jar can be left outside because they were made water tight just incase your house or apartment isn't bright enough. Once charged by the sun, the Sun Jar will last about five hours. Cool huh?
