Best Ever Banana Bread

Thanks Stephanie for this lovely recipe!

Best ever banana bread:
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups mashed banana (6 bananas)
4 eggs well beaten
2.5 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg

preheat over to 350 F. Cream butter and sugar til light and fluffy. Add bananas and eggs, beat well. Mix dry ingredients and blend with banana mixture. Pour into 2 lightly greased pans or 1 bundt pan. Bake for 55 mins, let cool 10 mins then remove from pan.
You can add 1 cup of chocolate chips to this if you want!

Favorite Book: hmmmmmmmmmm too many to name. I really enjoy Francine Rivers...I love a good thick book. To me its not worth the read if its less than 300 pages (unless its a info book). I like books that take awhile to develop. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to read them! I also like John Grisham, Jeffrey Deaver, Kathy Reichs and Johnathon Kellerman. I love the Lord of the Rings and Narnia movies...one day I hope to read both series!
Favorite Food: mmmm burgers, fish and chips, chinese food, pizza, steak....really depends on my mood!
Favorite Place To Be: anywhere as long as I'm with my family! (home, shopping, camping, the mall, on a trip)
Hidden Talent: my husband says I'm really good with kids...I wish I could say that I can play the piano or sing, but I'm not musical!
Tell us a little bit about yourself: I have been married since I was 19yrs old. Right off the bat I wanted kids, but hubby wanted to wait. I went to school within a year of us getting married, I wanted to be an aid in the schools for kids with disabilities. I have yet to do that yet but I am proud of how well I did in college! After I was done school (2yrs) we moved up north so my hubby could go to school. That never worked out....another 2yrs later we moved back home while I was 6months pregnant. Just a few days before our 5th anniversary our daughter was born...We moved again when our daughter was 4months old (right before Christmas too!) and are now working at fixing it up :) Its a slow process but one that we're doing together!!! This August we will be celebrating our 6th anniversary and our daughter's first birthday! I am enjoying sewing and teaching others to learn as well as tending to my weedy garden and dreaming of what it one day could be! )
Advice for other Mom's: Just leave the housework...when you walk into my house that is some advice that you will see I take to heart! I have 2 full loads of my daughters laundry to do, at least 2 of ours, plus towels,
blankets, etc. My bathroom needs a good clean, and my kitchen is constantly messy. But you know what? I get to spend lots of time with my family and that means more to me than and spic and span house!!! I have followed many others moms advice: enjoy your kids because it doesn't last long!!! Its true! In two weeks my daughter will be 10months old! Feels like just yesterday I gave birth to her!

June's Monthly Contest-Bob Book's!

Bob Book's have been my favorite series for quite some time when it comes to teaching kid's how to read. I used to babysit for a girl who learned to read by the age of three because of these books. For every word there is a picture and the child can read the whole book because they're so short. Each book gets a little more challenging and introduces new letter sounds, using consitency and repetition. I'd like to give away the entire series which consists of five sets.

Pets: Guinness (black Lab and love of Lilly life), Ollie & Tyson (brothers) cats, Zeppelin (cat), Pepper (rabbit). My dad said when we got Guinness 'why did you get a hunting dog when you have cats and a rabbit. The cats he is ok with but the rabbit we never let the two of them get together.

Hidden Talent: I am a very crafty person, I make soap and body products, flax seed bags, soy candles are my newest hobby, and I sew a bit.
Tell us a little bit about yourself: I am 34 years old, I have been married to my wonderful hubby for almost 8 years. We have officially adopted both our girls within the last year.
