Hi, my forum name is fulfam! I am a work-at-home mother of 3 beautiful children, ages 9 years, 2 years, and 4 months. I would like to win a nursing cover since I have tried everything to discreetly tandem nurse my youngest babies; however, it is very difficult - perhaps a nursing cover would make it easier. Also, as a certified lactation educator, I think it would serve as an excellent demo product for other pregnant and breastfeeding mothers long after my babies have self-weaned. Thank you for your time and consideration, but especially for promoting World Breastfeeding Week!

I think it is sad women in this country feel it is necessary to cover ourselves when we breast feed. The cloth of the nursing cover is very pretty and would make a very nice dress for a small child. Such an ironic prize for World Breastfeeding week.
I think this blog may not be for me after all...

Let's see...my first day back at work is tomorrow. I work at Mothering Magazine and of course nursing is more than welcomed at my place of employment. I will be bringing my new baby with me to work and have had a hard time finding clothes that make it easy to breastfeed out in public. I was just looking into some nursing covers to make it easier-if we can create our own privacy then it doesn't matter what I have to pull up or pull down or even expose! We can breastfeed anywhere at anytime!!!
Also, I am a doula and child birth educator and my clients are always asking me about different products and sometimes its nice to give advice based on experience!!
Thanks and Blessed Birth!!!

My forum name is lagodek. I would like to win a nursing cover because I cannot afford a new one. I have one second-hand one and the rigid neckline is not so rigid any more. I like to use these covers when I am at church and when my dad is visiting.

My forum name is SingingClayPearl, and I would like this nursing cover because the one I have is so short that I often end up flashing people! I have to breastfeed quite often since I'm a student along side my husband and I have to take my two kids (3 and 7 months) to and from classes multiple times a day, and feeding times can't always wait.
And to cdryer...it's not that women find it "necessary", but some of us find it more "comfortable" to cover up! Some of us do not feel comfortable whipping out the breast uncovered in front of certain people or in front of people in general. It's a modesty issue. This is my breast and I want to keep it for my spouse/partner and my child, and I prefer to keep it as discreet as possible. I understand there is nothing wrong with nursing completely uncovered in public, and when I see women doing this I have no qualms with them. But as for me, I want to cover up! It makes me more comfortable, less tense, and therefore gives me and my child a better breastfeeding experience. There is absolutely NOTHING WRONG with covering up. Just my two cents.

My forum name is Sweetpea7482 and I am currently pregnant with my fourth child; however, this is our first child that has grown healthy past 8 weeks (we have lost the last three at 8 weeks or sooner). We are beyond excited to be carrying this baby and can't wait for January when we get to meet the baby. I am also eager to breastfeed for so many reasons (health, ease/comfort, cost) and would feel that it would be more comfortable to have a nursing cover! My sister-in-law breastfeeds and she is always struggling to keep herself covered up with a blanket.
Thanks!

Hi, my forum name is hcraymond. I am pregnant with baby #2, and would love to breastfeed again. My daughter was breastfed until she weened herself; she never had formula. She is such a healthy toddler now, and has rarely been sick that I'm hoping to do the same for the next baby. I'm a big believer and promotor of breastfeeding, and would love to have a cover to help out with this baby. Thanks so much for sponsoring this...the covers are wonderful (I had one to use with my daughter). Even if she's not feeding, it's a great way to block out noise and light to help them fall asleep when you're out and about. These covers are wonderful!

My forum name is trentori. I'd love to win this nursing cover for my sister. I've nursed all my kids and never felt the need to cover up, but my sister is new to this with her first just turning 6 weeks and has had a difficult time with breastfeeding since he was born 7 weeks early and the first priority was getting him calories... now that he's healthy she is really trying to get him on the breast full-time, and is struggling. She is not comfortable being exposed, or just feeling exposed, in public or work, so a nursing cover would do wonders for her and her little man.

Hi there! My forum name is castusamor. I used a nursing cover when nursing my first child. He weaned himself at 15 months and I was comfortably able to nurse him in public throughout. I LOVED my cover... got compliments and questions about it all the time. Just this past weekend I gave my cover to my girlfriend who is due in a couple weeks... she's determined to nurse and I told her it brought me lots of luck. This morning I found out I'm pregnant with number 2! I'll be so grateful if I win!

My forum name is robidora. I would like to win a bebe au lait cover because I am having difficulty breastfeeding my son, and it is especially hard in public. I have a 18 month old daughter that I tried and tried to breastfeed when she was born but for various reason was unsuccesful. My son is two months old and I am trying so hard to keep the breastfeeding going. It goes well at home, but out in public it is harder. He is still learning how to latch so it is hard to be discrete and get him on at the same time. I pumped for my daugther so she still got breastmilk, but I want to know what its like to have the freedom and low stress from breastfeeding. Thanks!

My forum name is belliesoflove. I am the mother of 4, the most recent is 3wks old. I didn't nurse my oldest two, who are 4yr old twins. With my 3rd, I bought a "hooter hider" and LOVED it! While I have nothing against women who are able to bf in public without a cover, mine gave me all the confidence I needed. Now I have another baby, and my old cover is wearing out :( I also believe that the more comfortable women are about nursing in public, the more they will nurse in public, and the more acceptable it will become! I'd love to win a cover to help nursing in public become more "normal"!

I love the bebe aulait nursing covers, i have a very squirmy 8 month old son and he is still nursing every 4 hours, if he can even make it that long, So every time we go out he has to nurse. I recieved a homemade nursing cover at a shower, however it is significantly smaller and only covers half of my chest and the neck strap is secured by velcro, needless to say my squirmy wormy little one is always pulling it off my breast and xposing me, which in turn has cused some major looks of shock from passers by. I would love to have a beautiful "properly" constructed nursing cover.

My blog name is alicia_love and while my son is now almost a year old (where does the time go?) I know for the next child(ren) I would prefer to have an actual cover for nursing in public. When I'm at home I just "whip it out" and nurse but in public I like to be a little more private. Thanks so much for offering this!

My forum name is liz3girls. I successfully nursed my first child until her 2nd birthday. My second child self-weaned at 15 months ... probably because I was in my second trimester with baby 3. Baby 3 is the only one of my children who has not fussed over being covered during nursing. As I like to be active & go out with my children, it would be a blessing to have another nursing cover. That all said, I don't allow the lack of a cover to prevent me from nursing in public when my baby needs fed ...

I would love to be the August winner of the Nursing cover give away.
My husband and I are trying to conceive our second child. Our first little girl will be 3 in a few weeks and I was working full time when I had her.
I just recently left my job for a far more important job...being a stay at home mom. It’s been an adjustment, but I’m already seeing the benefit from my daughter. I only breast feed her for 5 weeks. With my second child, I’ve vowed to give it a longer try. I think the benefits are amazing and I didn’t give myself a long enough change to bond with my daughter, so I’m hoping that with the nursing cover, it would allow me to nurse my second child that much longer! Thanks again for the consideration and I’m excited to explore more of this site!

I would LOVE this nursing cover- I breastfed my first child for 15 months and am a huge supporter. I am currently a couple months pregnant with my second child and though I never cover up at home or around my extended family, I do appreciate some privacy and decreased distractions for baby when we are out. These covers are much more attractive and convenient than carrying blankets around. Thanks!!

I'm Curllyq. I hope this is ok...I'm entering for a cover to give as a gift. My friend is not married and has found herself pregnant. She doesn't have a lot of money and I know she'd enjoy the modesty a cover would provide but I don't know if she'd buy one for herself. I hope this isn't against the rules.

My forum name is MrsMak. I just joined and I can't wait to get started chatting. I have a 5 year old daughter with autism and a 4 year old son. While I am not currently pregnant or nursing, I am trying to conceive #3.
I nursed my daughter until she was over 3 years old and my son until he was over 2 years old. This included over a year of tandem nursing. Both my children self-weaned at their own pace, and I hope to do the same with my next child.
While the physical aspects of nursing were never a big problem for my babies, I experienced a lot of hurts and frustrations about breastfeeding. When my first child was 8 months old, the church my family was attending informed me that they had decided it was inappropriate for me to nurse my baby during the service, even when I was in the "quiet room," which was designed for small children and their parents. They suggested that my nursing in public was wrong and shameful. We chose to leave that church, and it was very hard because we considered the members there our only real friends. We then moved on to another church, where my husband and I both obtained part time jobs. After a year there, we were informed that this church too, would no longer tolerate my nursing my daughter, even though in this church I sat in the back row of a large balcony, and covered in order to do it. My husband and I were both fired from our jobs over this issue. We considered suing for wrongful termination, but because breastfeeding laws do not include the right to take action against someone who discriminates against a nursing mother, we had no legal recourse.
Despite this very trying period of our family life, we have persisted in our religious faith and found many accepting and loving Christians who supported my babies' rights to nurse. While I still advocate for the right for a woman to nurse in public with our without a blanket or nursing cover, the emotional pain that these experiences brought have led me to choose to cover as much as I can when I have a third child. I love these stylish covers. The design allows you to have eye contact with your baby while still remaining covered. The lack of eye contact when using a blanket is what caused my daughter to refuse to nurse with a blanket over her head. I would love to have a cover like this. Thank you for the opportunity.
